So question about you post...she knew she had it 22 years ago and now this is just her first outbreak? Or she didn’t find out she had it until now because she finally had an outbreak?
Totally possible. Most people go their whole lives without knowing they have it. Most doctors don’t even recommend testing for it unless you have visible lesions. So many people walk around having no idea they even have it which was my case. I’ve never had a symptom and I’m obsessive over any changes in my body so I would’ve noticed. I only found out my a blood test and was totally shocked. My doctor said many people can go their entire lives and never have an outbreak. This doesn’t mean she cheated on you at all. I’ve seen 2 doctors and one ID specialist who all said it is very common.
Yes it is possible ........I've had herpes for 6 years unaware only found out yesterday but I have had at least one break out each year unnoticeable.. ..without use of any medication nor have I given it to anyone in my knowledge
