nerve involvement debate

theres a interesting debate brewing on the std expert forum regarding nerve pain.seeing that herpes is a nerve disease alot of claims about constant tingleing, persistant leg pain, muscle twitching etc....seems to coincedental.its just to many people making the same claims.look at bacterial infections, the same treatment used now wasnt used back then because the bacteria has become resistent in other words changed.hiv meds are changing, they cant stay the same because evolution wont allow it to stay the same.i have yet to see a blister on my penis but i have strange sensations on it.my hands and feet hurt, srotum tingles, muscles twitch.its just bizzare.evolution, nothing ever stays the same.7 days from now will be monday again, but the date, clouds, what you are doing it will all be diffrent.if herpes isnt doing it,its triggering something that is.

I'll agree with jigsaw, Docs don't seen to know much.....more than you do!!! As they are PRACTICEING meds, They have no idea what you are going thru? And I don't belive/ have much faith in antibodies testing!!!! Thing is.....it may not be herpes? But they sure don't want to take the time to figure out what it is? how often do you get the feeling they think your stupid?.....and your look'n back think'n the same thing?....and but of course your the patient?

Yes, herpes can cause muscle fasciculations, tingling, back pain, muscle soreness, extreme fatigue without first presenting itself as overt blisters - I am living proof and it has destroyed my athletic career. What frustrates me is that most Docs will sit there and tell you that it isn't herpes because it isn't written in their literature. Its about time Dr's looked into this b/c it plays havoc with many people's lives.
