Ill Informed

I was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto's Disease which is an autoimmune disease. My partner was diagnosed with HSV2 about 3 years ago and is not currently on any medication for it nor does he have any symptoms of HSV (he's never had any symptoms & only got tested for my peace of mind before we started a sexual relationship). My question is how my Hashimoto's with be affected by/ affect my chances of being infected. I'm also curious about how serodiscordant couples get pregnant without the uninfected getting infected if the infected is not on medication.

HI.
This is important. Find out what bloodtest he received. I'm or igg. Then find out his numeric value. Example 3.5. There are many low false positives that Dr's just say well positive is positive. Theven tests test for antibodies and not the virus. They sometimes pick up odd proteins  and pop positive when they shouldn't. The fact he has never had symptoms is not impossible  but further investigating is warranted  .
Now in your condition it is a little riskier but not a lot. The way the virus works is it needs to be massaged in. So it's  not like catching a cold.
Please try and get that information and if that's not possible have him retest with a type specific igg test. No I'm as they are unreliable and are full of false positives
