Hello All,
I understand I need to get some kind of therapy on this now. I'm really upset that it's become such a problem for me. So, I'm posting this in my steps to becoming less fearful of the virus.
Recently, I've become very fearful of contracting herpes. I am in a manogomous relationship with the same man for 2 years now. I've been tested twice since I've been with him, negative both times.
But now, I'm living completely uncomfortably. I'm afraid to even dry my hands on someone else's towels when I'm visiting a house, afraid to sit on toilet seats, completely afraid when I feel backsplash from the toilet hit my bottem side and will even wash myself with soap and water if that does happen. Terrible right? So, I'm just wondering if someone who is informed on the virus could tell me the ways, all ways possible, of catching hsv. I read it's unlikely to get it from towels and bathrooms..toilets etc..but I'm scared out of my witts that I will be one of the unlucky few to get it in an uncommon way.
So, what about this backsplash from the toilet while sitting down to use it?
Drying hands on towel..and then say touching self there, lips, eyes, etc?
Pets licking your face? (ridiculous, i know!)
Sharing bars of soap? (dont do but wondering)
Sharing hookah pipes? Cigs?
People sitting on laps in bathingsuits?
Toilet paper?
This would definitely help me get over this fear...since I have convinced myself you can get it ANYWHERE since it is so common. The statistics are scarey and they have me thinking EVERYONE has it and that it's extremely easy to get...even by someone who touched themselves and then shaking your hand...Is it really this easily caught? I would think not since I've gone 22 years without contracting it so far...
and im afraid my fear of it, will draw that negative energy and chances of it, towards me :\ eeep!
So, anyone here know THE CORRECT POSSIBLE ways of catching it?
Any words are helpful! Thank you, thank you!!!
