Is it herpes or something else?

Last night i randomly noticed a bump on the skin around the base of my penis.  It feels like a sspider bite or a bruise or seomthing, almost the same feeling as getting a bump on the head, sore.  It has a dieameter of 1 cm or a little less and when slight perssure is put on it, it hurts and feels more dense/less soft than the skin around it.  There doesn't appear to be any open wound or anything like that... it appears to be under the skin slightly deep almost.  Today I notice a very slight pain when initially sitting down and stuff because of the pressure from my belt on it(I wear my pants quite low sometimes...it is directly above the penis, practiclly attached).  I am afraid it is herpes because I have been told herpes can feel like a bug bite or a pimple or ingrown hair and that is what it feels like.  I also had the 24 hour flu less than a week ago.  I am a little nerveous because I only have one sexual partner, but I have been told that herpes can stay hidden for a long time.  If anyone could please help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

(I can't go to the doctors yet because it is reading week and I left my health card in my residence which is quite far.)

really this could be anything and following up on it with your provider is the best course of action.

Sorry to bother you but if you could attempt to shed any light on my situation that would be so amazing... It seems like you really know what you are talking about, and if you get a chance at any time to look at this that would be amazing.

Thank you so so so much.

Hey,

I have never had a herpes check and I have only become sexually active in the last year or so.  I have had two sexual partners, one which was a virgin and one which has has one other sexual partner, but im almost positive she doesn't have herpes.  I dont think i have much of a reason to be concerned, I just noticed it and got a little bit scared/nervous because I don't sleep around a lot and everywhere I look online says things could verry easily be herpes.  Any other signs as to why it is/isn't herpes would be great because I am unable to go get it looked at until monday atleast.

The best thing to do is going to a doctor to be looked over.  Bumps can be anything.  Can be a yeast infection could be just be a simple pimple.  The best person to tell you what a bump is will be a doctor.

Do you have any reason to be concerned?  Have you had a herpes test?  If so when was the last time you had a sexual encounter?
