Is it herpes?

Hi, I am a female and so for the past 6 months or so I've had pain in the lower right side of my back and hip. That pain sometimes radiates down the back of my leg. Every few weeks I get pain near the skin in my thigh, hip and groin  (in the pubic hair region) area as well as a deeper pain in the hip and leg. I have no discharge, no visible lesions or sores, just the pain. I have gotten an MRI on my lower spine and it only showed slight degeneration in my discs. It seems like my lymph nodes in the groin have also been swollen these past 6 months, but I can't be sure. I'm terrified that this may be some manifestation of herpes, if only because nothing else I can think of really fits. Thoughts? Thanks!

Hey thats sciatica and herpes sometimes causes aches and pains these pains idicate a symptomatic outbreak which would also have typical lesions. Dr.Hunter H Handsfield a leading expert in STDs and herpes says aches and pain are almost always comesaccompanied by sores and lesions. I think you found your problem which is caused by slightly herniated discs and I get sciatic pain a lot. Also herpes wouldnt cause constant symptoms persistent symptoms are suggestive of another cuase perhaps anxiety and stress. Go get it checked by type specific blood tests for Herpes 1 & 2 to be relieved which I know will be really helpful if you are nervous about this. I am sure it will most likely come back negative. Visit an STD clinic or ask your GP or a urologist& dermatologist in your nearest hospital for these tests. I am not expert these are my opinion but strictly based on facts and what other experts say. Good day!

Without lesions, then it is unlikely that herpes is a fit either.

Given the length of time that has elapsed, a blood test will at least confirm your status. Bare in mind though that even a positive test will not provide confirmation that herpes is the cause of this pain.
