Is it likely I have genital Herpes 1 if my past lartner had oral herpes 1

I was with a partner for 8 years who had cole sores on his mouth. I received oral from him over the years but never when he had a cold sore. (He probably had maybe 5 the duration of our relationship). I have not been sexually active with him for 11 months and not sexually active myself until this January. A few weeks ago I discovered a bump that I was convinced was general warts.A few days ago I had used apple cider vinegar to see if it would go and then went to the sexual health clinic. I was told it is not warts. That same day I went home and discovered a small lesion on the bottom of my clitoris. I have been tugging and pulling at my vagina and had used vinegar there so I don't if I had irritated it...or if it was herpes. I have never had anything similar and would not have known it was there if I wasn't poking around. It had healed by the end of the next day. Yesterday morning I decided to use regularl vinegar to see if any bumps that turned white (i have many forcyde bumps). After 10 minutes I took the cottonball of vinegar off and discovered a white spot on my clit (from the vinegar I think) that after looked like a lesion. Today I went to the doctor to see if it was herpes and he did not see anything but from the picture he said it is possible. (I had taken a picture because my other healed so quick)....because his answer wasnt a hard no I am stressed. I am wondering if I have been getting these lesions for awhile and have had herpes for awhile and didn't know because I may be one of those people that don't get symptomns. I only noticed these from poking around. I have not seen my partner in a few weeks because first I thought I had genital warts and now I am not confident I don't have herpes.

I went through the same thing. I am hsv 1 positive from oral sex with a partner with oral herpes.

I would still get a type specific blood test for hsv1 and hsv2.

He is correct on that. I will say that in most cases an hsv1 prinary outbreak is pretty severe.
To be honest with you. I would rather my oartner have genital hsv1 than oral. When hsv1 is genital it has few outbreaks and many people don't get outbreaks past the primary. It sheds very little and isn't very potent when it does. This is why genital to genital transfer of hsv1 is very rare.
Either way i doubt what you are experiencing is genital hsv1.

Have an igg blood test. That's the first thing i would do.

He wouldn't give one. He refused. He said if I was positive for herpes 1 there would be no way to know if it was oral or genital.
