Is it pointless to have igg test after two weeks?

So I had a igg test done after two weeks of hooking up with the guy I got with and it came back negative. I have no bumps, there's some discomfort when I pee, and looks like a rash or cut on my anus. Do you think I have herpes and was the test a waste getting it done this early?

Are you in Georgia like your name suggests?

Here's one, but they don't mention cost. (They came up when I searched free STD Clinics Georgia, though. Call before you go.) https://someonecaresatl.org/clinic/

Here's another - https://www.aidatlanta.org/page.aspx?pid=316

If you aren't in Georgia, or aren't near Atlanta, let me know and I can help find something for you. Feel free to send me a PM if you don't want to share it publicly. (Click or tap on my name and then choose "Send Message" at the top right of the page.)

I am in Georgia! I can check it out. Thanks for the help. I'm so scared I have it, it kills me
Listen, worst case scenario - you have i (I don't think you do, just playing a what if). Then what?

You have an infection that loads of other people have, and live with every day. I've had it since 2005, and my life hasn't really changed all that much. Obviously, I'm female, so I don't date men who have sex with men mostly, but I've only had one man decline to be with me (and he thought you could get "the AIDS" from a toilet seat, so no great loss there). No one else has cared, and a couple have had herpes already.

Yes, dating has an added challenge, but it does add a filter for you. If someone acts like an *** about it, you learn something about them. People are free to decline to date/have sex with whomever they chose, for any reason, but it says a lot about a person in how they handle that. Someone may decline to have sex with you because of your hair color, or your height, just as they may decline to have sex with you because of herpes.

I take daily suppressives (my choice - not everyone makes the choice) and rarely get outbreaks. When I do, they are a little sore now, but not bad.

Now, back to the fact that you don't know you have it yet. Have you been able to get into a clinic?

No, it isn't pointless. It won't tell you if you got herpes from this particular guy, but you know that at least before you didn't have it. If you test positive later, you have a better idea of when you were infected.

Has a doctor seen your rash/cut? Tested you for other STDs? I don't know exactly what you did with the guy, was it protected, or your gender, so it's hard for me to say what your risk is. Loads of things can cause your symptoms, from fungal infections to infections to allergic reactions.

If you haven't seen a doctor, now is definitely the time. If you did see a doc, what did they say?

I'm a guy and he's a guy and we had sex but used a condom and he gave me oral and licked my anus. I was tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea today. Any kind of info would be helpful. Would you recommend a walkin clinic doctor? Do they look at that kind of stuff or more so a dermatologist
You can see a walk in clinic, even better if it's an STD clinic. They see all kinds of things. An Urgent Care center doc could probably identify a fungal infection. If they suspect herpes, MAKE them culture it with a type specific culture.

If your partner had an oral yeast infection, you could have gotten that from him licking you. You could have also gotten that in your urethra from the oral sex.

When you tested for chlamydia (highly unlikely since chlamydia isn't usually found in the throat) and gonorrhea, did they examine you at all? Did you mention the rash/cut?

No I did not, I  just mentioned there was discomfort when I urinated. Does this seem more so like herpes then anything else? But like I said I haven't noticed any bumps on my genitals, but its hard to tell if there bumps on my anus but from what I can tell they don't look like bumps. But no pain in my mouth either.
Can someone please help me out here
No, it doesn't seem like herpes more than anything else. I've already explained that it could have been a yeast infection from oral contact, which seems more likely.

Have you seen a doctor by now? The only way to know for sure is to get this checked by a doctor. No one online can diagnose you. Tons of things can cause rashes/cuts. Herpes causes blisters.

I know you want reassurance, but your best way to get that is to see a doctor. Let us know what they say. :)
any recommendations on std clinics that aren't super expensive? I'm still waiting on gonorrhea and chlamydia test back just cause I was curious about that. But I will see a doctor and get another herpes test. A bump did pop up on the corner of my mouth. Hasn't turned into anything fluid like. Idk if I'm just freaking out and it's due to chapped lips or if it's actually a cold sore
Quick comment, just got results on chlamydia and gonnorhea and they were both negative.
