Is it possible my test was wrong

I recently had a full panel Std/Hiv test done. Precisely in December, it stated that my HSV-1 level was higher than 5.0 and my HSV-2 was negative. Is it possible to have one and not the other. A few days before the test, I increased my intake of various nuts. I know that certain nuts if eaten in large quantities will raise that possibility because they contain the same molecule, I guess. I get tested regularly every three months. I use AnyLab test center.

It is entirely possible to have one strain and not the other. A lot of people only have one strain.

I have never read anything about nuts affecting a herpes test, and I've been doing this a long time. If you have a link to that, I'd be happy to check that out.

Oh ok, bummer. I don't remember the exact website. I've googled it a couple of times. Whenever I eat peanuts or any nut before bed, I wake up with a cold sore. I stopped eating nuts and read in livestrong.com that they contain the main ingredient that herpes feed on which is Arginine and Lysine which are big amino acids. I stopped taking my amino supplement because it also gave me a cold sore.
Yes, they can trigger an outbreak, but they wouldn't affect a test. Lysine is supposed to help herpes, but I've read a lot of conflicting reports on whether it actually does or not.

You may also want to talk to your doctor at some point and see if you have a nut allergy or sensitivity. If you are avoiding them, it's no rush.
