Is my test accurate?

Recently about one month ago I got my results back from my obgyn saying that my hsv1 and hsv2 blood test were negative.  The last time I had sex with someone prior to this test was in December.  The last time I kissed someone was in March.  I didn't know if that was too soon after to get checked? Would I know if I had HSV genitally by now? Would I know if I had it orally as well?

I forgot to add, I am just really worried about it because my vagina itches very badly from time to time but I think it is because of the gym and I don't always shower after.  The last person I kissed gets cold sores but didn't have one when I kissed them.  They got one almost 2 days after I kissed them.  Is it possible the test just didn't pick up on that because it is fairly new and could I have spread it to my lower area?

Your testing is conclusive, you do not have HSV.

Further what you suggest is simply not feasible. You would experience lesions and other symptoms upon infection which would be a primary (first of either type). This isn't a something easily missed by an adult!
