Is this a yeast infection ? Or herpes?

Hi so I recently got a cut on the inside of my vagina towards the top above my clitoris it's sore but not very itchy at all but when I closely examined it seemed to look like open flesh. You could see an oval like dent and then some open looking flesh. I am not sure if this is related to herpes.  I have only had one sexual partner whom I still am with and my doctors won't be able to help me until next week so I need someone else's opinion on the matter. I did get a headache also which I have read is a symptom of herpes. This is the second time where I have experienced a cut like this near that area. It dies not feel like the yeast infection I had before.... Because my cuts where self inflected from itching to much. Nothing hurts and I can urinate fine. I just don't know if this is possible sign of an untreated yeast infection. Or maybe from wearing tight jeans and having the seem cut to deep into the vaginal area. Please someone help me and give me some insight on the matter !! :)

If this is a very long term partner, and things are going to continue that way, then I really wouldn't worry too much. You both more than likely have whatever the other has. Your partner has in all likelihood not been tested for HSV and it is not likely to play a role in his illness. I'm sure he'd feel the same way.

Sorry I meant to say not sleeping with anybody he gets checked regularly because he can't have any viruses since he's recovered now for two years since having cancer...... I. Just hope it isn't herpes.

Do you think this is something to worry about ? The cut is just sore and I'm scared to walk or do any sudden movements because I don't want it to crack more. We do have unprotected sex but he is sterile.

There doesn't seem any particular reason to suspect herpes. If your partner has had other partners and you are having unprotected sex then why not ask that he test for both of your protection and comfort. IgG type specific for HSV 1 and 2 must be requested specifically.
