Is this the signs of Herpes?

Hi doctor, I am a 35 year old male who has been with two call girls in the past 6 months. The second one on Oct. 12th. Both times I had protected sex but both times unprotected oral sex. Since Oct 12th, I have had zero symptoms. Before both women performed oral sex I asked them if they where clean from any STD's and both strongly assured me yes and that they get tested regularly. At the end of October that second call girl called my cell. I missed the call. Curious to why she would call, I called her back an hour after but the number was disconnected. Obviously scared I ran to all the sites to get reassurance about how hard it is to get an STD from oral sex and let it go since again no symptoms. Since October I have had zero contact sexually with a female. I exercise at least 5 days a week and have problems with chaffing when I run. If I do not lubricate between my legs, it can get raw and painful. I was also diagnosed with Jock itch last year from the sweating between my legs and had to take medication to cure it. Since Monday Dec 2nd, I've been chaffing hard again and have been lazy with when I shower after the gym. My testicles would itch like when I had jock itch but only since I was being lazy with showering. Once showered the itching stopped. On wed and thurs I noticed chaffing pain between my legs when I was running and then noticed a small lesion on the bottom of my testicle where it would rub against my left leg. It is also over a hair follicle showing a small white sac which looks like its healing? It looks like a lesion that you would get from an STD but a little longer. It only hurts sightly when I walk. When I put baby powder to stop the chaffing the  pain becomes very mild. When touching the lesion it feels hard with light pain while around it is red with light cracking of the skin. Again I have no other symptoms that is associated with the 1st signs of an outbreak but the phone call with the disconnection has freaked me out. Thoughts?

Just wanted to update you. It turned out it was a hair follicle that got infected. I did ask for a full STD blood and urine test and everything came out negative so I guess a fresh start for a new year. Thanks again

You posted on Rockstar's thread.  He paid for an answer to a question and I answered it, sorry, but that's kind of how this site works.  You didn't do anything wrong, you just need to start your own thread.

The way the site works is that you need to post your own question, not jump into someone elses.  Just giving you an update on how to do this, not being critical, OK?

Oh one more thing.  Is it possible to catch herpes via handjob?  I say yes.  But I would love your opinion.  Thanks Terri.  Oh, and new to this site

Hi Terri.  On Nov. 21st, 2013 I was with this girl.  We were both naked.  She gave me a hand-job.(I don't know if she touched her self before touching me) But we had  No Sex.  The next day (Nov 22nd)  I saw a red rash above my penis in my pubic hair that burned and itched like the dickens.  Four days later I went to my doc and got an hsv2 test done.  What kind?  I have no idea.  But-way... my index was 2.5.  Is that possible to have an index that high in only four days?  Or does this number reflect a past exposure.  From what I hear.. it takes several weeks for antibodies to build up after exposure. (like 4 weeks plus)...could you clear this up for me please.  (I'm sure you get asked that question a lot...but I want to hear straight from the horses mouth my self.  And also what is reliable hsv 1 o hsv 2 test other than the western blot.  Thanks in advance.

Sorry, I can't help with the physical presentation since I cannot see it.

If people are going to get symptoms with new infection, they do so within 2-10 days normally.

My next question is if she did give me an std from oral sex, would it take two months to show up with with one lesion but no other symptoms and wouldn't it be multible lesions on my shaft and not towards the bottom of my scrotum?

Again it is not round but elongated tube type lesion a little less then a quarter of an inch. When I wash it I can see a thin sac cover the length with red irritation around the sides with cracked skin? It looks irritated but with no pain when I'm at rest but does fell annoying when I walk.

Your symptoms sound 100% like jock itch and irritation from exercise.  There is nothing here that causes me even a tiny bit of concern about genital herpes.  You mention a lesion on the testicle, but then you also describe the jock itch in that area.  Also, on the testicle, we frequently see cysts and it actually sounds far more like that than herpes.

Having said all of that, condoms only reduce the risk of transmitting herpes by 30-50% so even protected sex can result in transmission, particularly from a commercial sex worker.  And although she indicated to you that she gets tested for STDs regularly, which is probably true, many STD screens do not include tests for genital herpes.

Honestly, it seems highly unlikely to me that she would call you to tell you that she had an STD, even if she did know that.  Not good for business.  These "relationships" are not like other romantic relationships, so my guess is, the call was about something else, don't you think?  Like wanting to get together again?
