Just tested positive for Herpes

My lab results just came. Tested positive for hsv 1 and 2 IGG (25.20). IGM is negative.

Can anyone please tell what does it mean for me and my life now? I feel lost. :(

I though if I am igg posit I've in a combo then being igg negative in HSV2 makes me igg positive in HSV1 by default. That is why I didn't take an HSV 1 igg test.

Correct and suggest if I am wrong. Much appreciated.

Ok igm is useless. Glad to know that. Here is the matter in a nutshell:

Test 1, combo = igg positive

Test 2, HSV 2 Igg and IGM = igg negative. (IGM POS)

Last exposure = 3 months ago.

Symptoms = None

What do you make of it?

Thanks.

We dont use igM at all as is meaningless so dont bring this up again. What was the test result for specific hsv1 and hsv2?
