I've been to several doctors and they have told me that I do not have herpes on my anus...the doctor also at the beginning of all of this looked at my penis and test testiciles and saw nothing of concern...I did test positive for HSV1 but the Doc said it was not s recent exposure..and I do not have genital herpes... I am so convinced by the symptoms I am having Taft I do have it down there....and that it's not in my head.., I did notice a very small white spot inside the tip of my penis.. And the tip burns sometimes..,I have put my wife through hell with all of this by saying I have herpes and then the doc saying don't have it there... I won't get close to my wife because of this and it is destroying my marriage....she is a great woman and had put up with so much from me. If Isay I have it she's out the door and I get that.. I don't blame her.... I'm so screwed up right now ... HOW CAN THERE NOT BE A CURE FOR THIS....I really screwed up and have no one to blame but myself but my. wife and kids are going to suffer from my stupidity..,I stole future memories from them and destroyed the ones we made together...
Hi - I'll try to clarify with some facts. It is not true that HSV is only passed via the lips or the genitals. This is why a condom only provides 30% protection. It does not cover all of the areas where the virus can be present. That said, whitlow rarely sheds, so it's unlikely you contracted anything from her hand, unless she had a visible sore. If you did, however, it would likely be HSV-1, rather than HSV-2, since HSV-2 doesn't shed as much above the waist (though it does shed a percentage of days).
In addition, it is not true that the virus always causes sores when it is first contracted. Terri Warren, our best clinician, tells us that 80-90% of people who have HSV don't know they have it, due to a lack of recognizable symptoms. Flu-like symptoms are not always present at the first infection.
Guessing and opinions really doesn't help. You do need testing to put your mind at ease. The next time you feel symptoms, ask your doctor to swab the area for a PCR DNA test. This is a very sensitive test that easily picks up virus from the surface of the skin. In addition, you'll want to test about 4 months past exposure, as it can take antibodies that long to generate enough to return a definite positive if you have a first infection.
Finally, a lot of things look and feel like herpes, and your symptoms could easily be due to something else. Ask your doctor to rule out other conditions. Best to you.
Not yet! you had no risk to contract herpes from your affair
Also symptoms dont start the next day but on average a week later. and symptoms are a sore deveiloping then flu like symptoms.
Its transmitted from the lips or the genital areas not by the hand. There is a herpes of the finger called Whitlow but its very rare so we dont often mention this due to anxiety issues that foliks have but with Whitlow its only passed with an obvious finger sore (doesnot shed) and if she did have a finger sore at the time she would not be giving you a massage as would have been too painful.
Hi you dont need testing as you had zero risk for herpes.
