I'm sure many have ran across this study but if not I thought I would put it out for the group https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3730471/ . It is from B. B. Mahajan, Mohit Dhawan, and Rajwinder Singh - Indian J Sex Transm Dis AIDS. 2013 Jan-Jun; 34(1): 32–34.
doi: 10.4103/2589-0557.112867. It looks at using various grades of topical zinc sulfate cream to treat (NOT CURE) G-HSV2. Unless these people lied or somehow were nefarious in their study what they found, to me, is pretty great. It didn't work for everyone, their pool of people was very small, and it's probably hard to transfer their findings into a home remedy/practice. However, I think it offers yet another tool to help those find a way to treat or deal with their HS. It makes me wonder why a larger follow up study was never done.
I have used a topical zinc sulfate cream I found online and it does seem to have a positive effect - not a "blow your hair back, I feel cured effect" - but none-the-less a positive effect. I am wondering if anyone else has tried this and if so what their results were?
