Odda of catching hsv-2 from massage parlor

Hello,

I recently had an experience at an Asian massage parlor that I am a little skeptical about. I could be being paranoid, but am afraid that I put myself at risk for genital herpes. So this is what happened: I was laying faced down naked and the woman was rubbing her body on me with only a thong on. She rubbed her privates right on my Buttocks and by my anus for about 5 minutes. Even tho she had a thong on, I am not sure if it was fully covering her vagina and may have come in contact with my anus. I definitely Know that there are already a few cuts around my anus from wiping too vigorously. Am I at risk for genital herpes? If so what is the risk and should I get tested? I may be being a little paranoid, but I am very new to that scene so I am not sure what I got into. I am feeling very anxious. Thank you very much for taking time to look at this question.

I can't give odds here with all the variables, and I don't know what the thread you read was, and what that scenario was.

I would say that I would be highly surprised if this led to an infection.

No, you might not see a lesion in a couple of days if you ever got infected. It can take up to 20 days for symptoms to show up, if they do. Don't let this freak you out though - the chances of you getting anything from this are very, very low. I don't really know any other way to say you don't need to worry, and your chances are very low.

Ok thank you very much. the forums I was looking at were dr.hooks and dr. HHH in the STD forums, I thought that they said the incidence was about 1 in 1000 per each encounter. Last question, testing is definitely unnecessary in this situation right? Thank you.
Sorry the anxiety is just killing me. Even if the vagina did come in contact with the anus for about a minute, with cuts there, You’re assessment of very low risk still applies right? Thank you!
I don't think you need to test even if her vagina came into contact with your anus for about a minute (which I don't think happened, because you'd clearly feel that). Even if it did, though, I don't think you need testing for such a brief period of time.

Anxiety does not equal risk. Guilt doesn't equal risk, either, if guilt somehow factors in for you. Don't let yourself get carried away by this.

So in theory, this could transmit herpes - the thong could slip, etc. Your skin on your butt is thick enough to not cause transmission in most cases, and you don't know that she has herpes.

It's not something I would worry about at all, and wouldn't test. You are unsure if her vagina came into contact with your anus, which is something you'd feel, so try not to create a bunch of "what if" scenarios in your head.

Thank you very much for your response. I was doing a little research on the expert forums after asking this questions and I saw some say that the risk is about under 1 in 1000. Does that apply to this situation? And that such exposures in practicality never lead to infection. Would you agree? Also would I definitely see lesions within a couple of days if I was exposed ? Thank you very much.
