Oral HSV-2

Is it possible to get oral hsv-2 if you bite your fingernail after going to the bathroom with a GH type 2 infection?

If you wash your hands or if you don't?

Sorry I guess I should have just asked if you washed your hands first because I washed my hands first and then didn't bite it till a few minutes later.

I was just wondering if it was possible to get it that way.

I mean, I washed my hands after going to the bathroom, and then didn't bite my fingernail til a few minutes later, and just started wondering if maybe I shouldn't have done that.

May I remind you that you don't even have hsv2 genitally in the first place?

For me, it's a paranoid thing though. I always think "what if I do though?"

So just to be safe, i was asking in general.

I mean, for peace of mind, if I DID happen to have it. Would I be at risk?

you don't have it. stop allowing yourself to be paranoid.

the virus is easily killed with soap and water. the scenario you are concerned about isn't an issue 1 iota.
