Pimple under the foreskin?

pimple on my penis from last 12 days, its under the foreskin of my glans ring. mostly it hurts when i touch it and most of the time i dont even notice it. but some time it hurts without even touching. sometimes its red and sometimes i can see its white mouth. i am also having yeast infection from last 6 weeks. but it is getting better, before this pimple appeared i had a really rough masturbation even used condom for it. i went to sex disease expert and she said it does not look like herpes and does not recommend me any testing. I did not feel anything from last 10 days but now I a feeling burning while peeing and irritation on glans penis and its hurts when i touch the pimple. I went to another doctor and and she immediately took my urine and swab test and put me on antivirals. I am sick worried waiting for the results now.

The time since onset is less important than the nature of hte lesion. If it was really pimple-like, and if pus or fluid was obtained on the swab, the negative result strongly suggest it isn't/wasn't herpes. Putting together all the evidence, herpes is very unlikely, as discussed above. Herpes lesions simply don't behave like this. I think you can go forward without worry about it.

Thanks for the comment, but I definitely didn't say and didn't mean to imply "viral or fungal" are the only possible causes. Bacteria, allergy (to something, maybe all those creams and ointments), chemical irritation, and various non-infectious skin problems all seem possible and maybe most likely.

Yes thats what I am gonna do now, Lotriderm and Betaderm was prescribed to me by doctors, Lotriderm helped a lot but I feel it irritated my penis. So I stoped using it. than another doctor prescribed be Betaderm that  I only used for  a day. Because my last doctor asked me to stop using it. I have been clinics 6 times and Have taken advise from 5 different doctors including one from STD specialist.  But what are your final comments on the pimple that I have is it viral or fungal, I just cant wait for test results, anxiety just really killing me. THANKS!

Time to stop guessing at the cause of these symptoms and attempting to self treat. Go forward only with professional advice.

Thanks again Howard for you answers, it helps a lot. A week after my last sexual contact which was 7 weeks ago. I started to pinch like feeling on my scrotum and which was followed by really sticky feeling on scrotum and groin. I still have this sticky feeling and but it has reduced considerably or I am getting used to it. Cant really say. A warmer temperature makes it worst and when temperature drops I feel better. Sticky feeling has reduced but feeling of pinch is still there. And this pimple thing has put me in lot of stress cause I am dealing with it from last 7 weeks. I used differet creams like Lotriderm, Betaderm medicated powder, also tried Clamatizole for couple of days.

Flucytosine is another anti-yeast antibiotic. Or try an OTC product in the jock itch/athletes foot section of the pharmacy, as long as active ingredient doesn't end in "azole". If that still doesn't work, you'll definitely need to get a doctor's input. Or just speak now with your current doc. Since he apparently understands herpes, he'll probably be up to speed on genital yeast/fungal infections.

5 weeks is much too long a delay for onset of a new HSV infection, on top of which the condom protection -- which doesn't always protect against herpes, but should protect the head of the penis just fine. So if this is herpes, it's a recurrent outbreak. And herpes certainly can't cause continuous symptoms for several weeks, such as your burning sensation, or an unchanging pimple for 2 weeks.

About 15% of genital yeast infections in women -- and probably roughly the same in men -- are caused by a type of Candida that often is resistant to the "azole" drugs in most OTC vaginal yeast treatments. Talk to your doctor about trying something else. such as nystatin, caspofungin, or others.

Thanks a lot for this information, it will definatley reduce by stress level. This pimple appeared after 5 weeks of my last sexual contact which was protected. After using different creams for my yeast infection and some rough masturbation. But I am continuously feeling burn  while urinating and burn  at glans penis as well and area under the foreskin is also hurts. Pimple only hurts when I press it. Now its there for 2 weeks unchanged.

On one hand, a pimple-like lesion on the penis is consistent with herpes, which you doctor obviously is concerned about. When herpes is suspected, a viral test (PCR or culture) be done and treatment started without waiting for the result. So the good news is that it seems you have a knowledgeable doctor -- not always the case when it comes to herpes and other STDs!

OTOH, a single lesion instead of several, and persisting more or less unchanged for 10 days, are both very atypical for a new HSV infection. So my guess is the viral swab test will be negative and that the antiviral drug (probably valacyclovir or acyclovir) won't make much difference.

As to other causes, I can only guess. Very atypical for syphilis, but you should be tested for it. A particularly bad spot in your yeast infection. Pustular psoriasis. (I assume you don't have known psoriasis elsewhere on your body.) If the cause remains unclear, your doc may want to refer you to a dermatologist for further evaluation.

Good luck with it.
