Hi, first of all if your test number was 3.5 or below you would need a second test as they fall into the false positive range. If its higher then you most likely got it oral when you were a young boy as upward of 65% of people would test positive for oral hsv1. Really nothing to be concerned about.
The other possibility is you have it in the genital area from recieving oral sex but i would rule that out. Just depends on your sexual activity.
I just saw your mention about a penis infection. If it was a penis sore or cut the next time you have it you need the doctor to swab it to see if its herpes. A blood test doesnot say where the infection location is.
If you have hsv1 oral you can pass it to someones genital area by oral sex so if you have it oral and feel some lip tingling wait a day or so to see if a sore appears. If you have hsv1 genital it can also be spread to someone.
Hsv1 oral herpes is not really a big thing to be overly worried about and this is most likely what you have as hsv1 prefers the oral area not genital.
The best i can say is those most at risk for contracting herpes are in long term mono relationships where one partner is infected.
Thank you very much for your reply.
I have one more question.
Is this any dangerous problem?
Is it effect any problem for my sexuall life, because I'm unmarried 28 aged man.
I would test one more time in a month just to confirm and if the number goes up it might be recent. But i still feel its oral from childhood. If you can take the Western Blot test it would be good but any igG type specific is ok as well.
Thanks for your reply. It's 3.6. Result date 24th Dec 2015
