Possible Genital Herpes

I am seeking opinions based on a stupid act I did 7 weeks ago. I had unprotected oral sex in a brothel. 2 days later I had pain in my urethra. I went to the local sex health clinic after 3 days who tested me for STDs  all came back clear they tested me for herpes via a urine sample as my symptom's were in my urethra they said they checked this for DNA again all clear. I was given azithromycin and told it was most likely Urethritis. I followed up 2 weeks later with my GP when symptom's did not clear I had another blood test and came back clear again. My symptoms now were urge to urinate frequently and would only dribble no pain while urinating however a slight burning sensation afterwards. My doc gave me a course of antibiotics which I cant recall the name I had to take two tablets twice a day. The symptom's did not clear after approximately 3 weeks I experienced nausea and felt weak almost like I had a mild virus. I have had a Herpes igg blood test after approximately 4 weeks and showed I have been exposed to HSV 1 and was negative for HSV 2. I have not had any bumps or sores on my genitals. I went back to the sexual health clinic and was told that I do not have an STD and to follow up with my GP V. I do not have a UTI as I have been tested three times with urine samples plus taken antibiotics. I made an appointment with a urologist and he said that I had prostatis and gave me more medication. My symptoms have slowly cleared a little however as the urge to urinate has cleared. I am now experiencing intermittent tingling sensations in my genital area this is felt regularly throughout the day, especially when sitting as well as a slight discomfort around the opening of my penis again this seems to happen in waves. I am not sure what to do next I am not imagining things as advised by 1 doctor, an its not my anxiety that's causing these symptoms. HELP.

My urologist said Its prostatis and to come back in three months.  Help

Just a follow up regarding my symptoms the pain in my urethra seems to be receding however I am still feeling the tingling sensation through out the day in my genitals.  Also a slight burning sensation after urination although this seems to be improving.  Any ideas what it could be?  I have a follow up appointment with a urologist in the next few days.

No the tingling I have noticed for approximately 3 weeks. The tingling is always in the same area at the base of my genitals.

7 weeks of tingling! Quite possibly pelvic, prostate, bladder or kidney related. There's a stack of things in that lot well beyond my knowledge, although I've had one or two of them, especially the prostate and a viral infection of the testicles.

No I have definitely never had a cold sore. Just a little concerned as the symptoms have lasted for 7 weeks and it really is frustrating. I really want to know what else could be causing the constant daily tingling sensations.

Unlikely the ulcers are HSV1 lesions. However it is possible as you have HSV1. I'm still of the view that more likely you have an oral HSV1 infection compared to the alternative of a recently acquired genital one. Are you able to check with a parent, you may have had the infection very young and just don't suffer from cold sores due to a healthy immune system.

It is complex as to what symptoms are incurred upon infection, the most common are the tell tale blister sores, closely followed by nothing at all. Only a small proportion of people experience atypical moderate or worse symptoms.

Your system can take time to recover from infection, particularly the prostate. Give it a bit more time, and lashings of the things I mentioned above, water, rest, relaxation and exercise.

Yes I was treated for the mentioned STDs.

I never have had a cold sore externally on my mouth or lips. However I get ulcers occasionally like a couple of times a year inside my mouth not sure if there a sign of herpes or not..

If it was bacteria why did it not clear with the antibiotics I have taken three courses in total.

If this was genital herpes would I have had an outbreak by now such as Lesions or ulcers?

The HSV1 positive is most probably indicative of an infection from when you are very young. Did you used to get cold sores as a child and have they abated as you grew up?

That being the case, it is now almost impossible to contract HSV through oral sex. This is because you have antibodies to HSV that virtually eliminates further HSV1 infection and HSV2 is very rare orally and sheds so infrequently.

What you describe is very common for men often triggered by a combination of bacteria and stress. The symptoms are real, but you may be contributing to them through stress that creates additional tension in the genital area that does the pelvic floor muscle and prostate no good at all. Try drinking a lot of water (I would think urinating is quite relieving for you?), more walking and relaxation focusing on the genital area.

Were you tested for trich, gonorrhea and chlamydia? These are more consistent with what you describe.
