Possible herpes? How can i tell?
My ex-girlfriend has a cold sore. i dont know if its HSV-1 or 2, but she likes to give me oral. we broke up a month ago. I was having rough, rough, vigorous sex with my current girlfriend while wearing a condom. That was today. I looked at my penis, because its been itching and i thought nothing of it. I thought it was jock itch, and i proceeded to treat it with apple cider vinegar aggressively. No time for itchy dick. I saw three prominent red spots, small but clear to see. They dont look like anything. After looking more closely i saw a few smaller red bumps that almost disappear when i stretch the skin. I opened my meatus/urethra and saw a very apparent discoloration inside on the right side. its mildly inflamed on the right side as well.
my skin is very sore, and brittle at the moment. Its red and looks a little raw, which i know is from the condom. But those bumps are very red, despite being small. And what makes me think this isnt herpes, is that most of the bumps are on or near the wrinkled area of my circumcision scar closer to my glans.
I plan on talking to my doctor tomorrow, But how can more clearly see if i really need to consult my doctor. If this is herpes, a round of hydrocoritsone cream wont clear it up overnight, right? If this goes away in the morning, i can rest assured that its just skin irritation, no? If this is herpes, and my scrotum was touching my girlfriends butt, would that be enough to transfer the virus?

Red spots have vanished. i can only see where they were, its going back to the normal skin tone.
That's correct. It will have zeto positive affect on hsv. In fact it can make it worse
This really does not sound hsv related. I would still see your Dr if you are concerned and i wouldn't put apple cider vinegar on your genitals. That can cause the issues you describe

I use apple cider vinegar as an alternative to fungal sprays. It does cause irritation, but when used sparingly it is highly effective, despite having the potential to cause burns. After applying the hydrocortisone, the red bumps are still present, but the itching has diminished. Im going to reapply and wait until the evening, and see if its further improved. Im certain it will, but if you dont mind answering my question, herpes cant be remedied by hydrocortisone cream overnight, right?
