Possibly HSV 2 or Anxiety/Stress Related

I had protected sex with a stripper 30 days ago. Immediately after I went into the restroom took off the condom and doused my privates with Lysol spray (In hindsight probably not the best idea but I had been drinking and was already nervous). I got home about an hour later and showered immediately and scrubbed everything below the belt with face scrub (contains Salicylic Acid) another face wash, Shampoo, and soap. Since the incident I had immediate regrets as I am already in a relationship and I have had horrible anxiety and have not been able to eat, sleep, or concentrate very well. I had sex again with my girlfriend the day after. On day 3 I was having some testicle pains so I went into the Doctors on day 5 and she said I had a case of Epididymitis and prescribed me bactrim and gave me a shot of Rocephin 250 mg and 2g Azithromycin in case I did somehow have something. I have had testicle pain since day 3 off and on. Since day 8 I developed some lower back pain localized in my lower left back and Hips and does not send shooting pains just feel like they are sore muscles. I do not do anything but research all day and probably only making myself worse. I used to be active but have so much guilt and anxiety I sit at work and on the couch when I get home. It seems like when I take my mind off of it the symptoms disappear but I feel one little soreness and my mind remembers. Besides that I have had no other issues (no discharge, no rash, no tingling/burning, no blisters/sores) but I am still worried with the back pain I have contracted HSV-2 as everything says it hides in your spine. Is this a valid concern? Thanks in advance. If I get the IGG Test done after 30 days is that too soon to be reasonably accurate?

Hi, None of what you mention suggest herpes and testing without symptoms is only advise if you have a long term partner. Test for the below for her protection as you were exposed to these.
1. Herpes---3 months
2. syphilis---6 weeks

I also forgot to mention above I have had a small scar looking rash (non-itchy/non-Burning) in the crease of my groin since day 8 as well. Last night I received a rather large raised bump half way down my inner thigh and saw 2 hairs coming out of it so I plucked them and in the morning it was almost completely gone. I have noticed over the last week a little chaffing feeling occuring in crease where legs/butt checks meet and on my right inner thigh. Like I said I have not been very active recently so dont know if its from irritation of sitting in a chair all day and couch all night. Probably anxiety that is getting the best of me. Also, I woke up this morning with my back pain gone that has been off and on for the last 22 days.

Could this be related to skin sensitivity from all the lysol that was sprayed down there a month ago?

Also for the last few weeks i've been having a funny smell come from testicles and groin. I tested negative for Gonorrhea and Chlamydia. So much is going on down in that region since the incident don't know if it is stress related causing my body all these different symptoms?

Yes stress could be causing these.

I woke up this morning and still after 4 weeks still having pretty constant back pain... The pain gets worse throughout the day. Every so often Ill get a sharp pain in my groin or around knee or my inner thigh that will last for a few seconds or be dull for a few minutes. My testicles also have a general achyness. Also, under the tip of my penis there is a slight itch every so often and noticed some dry flaky skin on the tip of my penis but no redness or lesions. I have been using gold bond on testicles and anti fungal on groin crease. Could this of caused it? Still consumed with severe anxiety and losing sleep over this.

Thanks Life360 really appreciate your support! After one stupid night and being with someone for almost 7 years really helped me put things into perspective and know that the girl I'm with is the one. Just don;t want anything to mess that up.

Does Leg pain associated with Herpes usually affect the front of both legs? I have been having pains in the front and inside of my thighs (sometimes sharp) and above the knees a little sometimes feel like Shin splints throughout the day. I sit at a desk for at least 9 hours a day. Haven't had all these issues until after the incident. Still probably nerves but just curious? Thanks Again.

I have had HSV1 since I was little so I dont know how that affects the HSV2 virus if I have contracted it.

Hey Life360. So it has been 9 weeks since exposure and still having the weird tingling and pains in front of both thighs and itching in groin. Some days the pain and tingling is nonexistent then it will just come back along with anxiety. About 2 weeks ago I got a Cold Sore on my lip which I am sure is related to the insane amount of stress and anxiety and mouth full of ulcers. With getting this outbreak on my lip should I have expected to see an outbreak if I did have HSV2? With having the active HSV1 should I feel some sort of relief that nothing below the belt appeared along with it? Just full of anxiety still. Thanks in advance!

Also sometimes not very often I feel light deep pain in butt cheek. Doesn't last long but noticeable. My whole lower back just feels sore and my body just feels exhausted from all this. Assuming I'm just keeping my body in a constant state of tenseness?

So I am still having back pain right above the pants line pretty constant on left side and sometimes on right and sharp pains in front and back of both thighs every so often sharp or throbbing pains pop up in different spot of both legs. Sometimes I get groin pain and testicles are tender. It comes and goes throughout the day. You are saying this doesn't sound like an initial outbreak of herpes even though I have oral HSV1? Would those antibodies keep me from having sores develop? How long does leg pain typically occur as the only symptom? Thanks for taking time out to answer my questions. It's been 6 weeks could I do an igg test now and it be pretty accurate?

Yeah man it wasn't the smartest Idea but I just was scared haha. Still won't test for another few weeks so I don't worry myself with a false positive or false negative. I can't eat, sleep, or function and am an anxious wreck waiting. I am sure it is all anxiety but my mind tells me otherwise. This experience did help me though put my life into perspective and to slow things down. I'll keep you updated. Its good to know I am not the only one out there.

It's all stress related.  Believe me I know. I'm a freaken expert on what you describe. Also I want to assure you whate life360 says is dead nuts accurate. He has helped me when I had my scare. I stepped out on my wife one time in 16 years of marriage.  It's been 6 months and I had all your symptoms and they are stress induced.your body does all kinds of things when your under that kind of stress. You can't sleep eat or function. I tested neg for everything just like you will. It gets a little easier over time.
My advice is don't ever do it again and spend your time being a better man to her.

Thanks so much! Glad for the forum because I do not have anyone to talk to about it since I have separated myself from those friends that took me to the the strip club to begin with. Stress and anxiety is so bad when you have to keep it to yourself. That was so out of the ordinary for me to do that but Alcohol is a crazy thing.

With my continued stress and anxiety I have had 2 cold sores on my lips in the last month. Just wondering if you have Oral HSV1 and genital HSV2 would you expect to see outbreaks concurrently? Also, I am still having leg tingling mostly in thighs and calves and also now on scrotum. Also still getting a few more stretch marks in groin and on inner thighs sometimes have red circles in them but clear up within a few days with no blisters or sores. I used lotrimin constantly for about 3 weeks and read that could possibly cause stretch marks on top of increased cortisol levels from anxiety?

Hi Life360. On Wednesday night I noticed a small white bump (~2mm) on the underside of my scrotum (I have fordyce spots) and me being full of anxiety tried to pop it several times with my pus but just a little clear liquid coming out. Within 15 mins was swollen and looked like i broke the skin. I put Neosporin on it and woke up the next morning to a scab. If that was in fact an outbreak would it of went from small bump to swollen to scab within that small time period? Of course I messed with the scab yesterday and put more neosporin on it last night and another scab was there this morning. There are no other bumps other than fordyce spots with hair in them anywhere else. I am 11 weeks from possible exposure and still have tingling and some pains in legs and tingling every once in a while on scrotum.

Herpes are not white and the scrotum did not make contact. You really need to put this behind you.

It did not have a white head. I mean the outside was a little red and definitely is now red and scabbed so cannot tell. If it was early stages of forming and I messed with it would a blister or open sore appear still and scab that fast?
