Postive IGG HSV 1 AND 2

Ive been tested by two different doctors the first time I was negative for HSV 1 and positive HSV 2 score 1.15. I got tested again at a ob-gyn and they said ive tested positive for both HSV 1 AND 2. I have never in my life been sick with any std neither have I had one symptom. So my new boyfriend will be moving in and we want a kid so the doctor recommend medication to stop outbreaks from giving it to my partner and if i deliver a baby I told her I have no outbreaks she was lost for words and was like I just need to be careful. I hope this is a falso positive becomes its been going on a year since they said i've had the virus and still no outbreak ever not even on my mouth.

Low numbers will tend to mean that you don't have the virus. I would not consider this a diagnosis at this stage at all. I'd seek a new doctor and request type specific testing and signal in advance you'll come and look through the complete results and discuss.

I'm sure the results were still pretty low because they didn't even offer medication to stop a outbreak which is something ive never had. I am just not trying to past it on to my partner because we are planning to have a child together she did say my risk is very low when I asked the numbers she said she didn't know they both just came back positive gig 1 and 2.

Hi, with the first test your hsv2 false into the false positive range and would need a second test to confirm. You doctor said your positive for 1 and 2 on the second test so you need to ask him the numbers. You need to get this information before you do anything else/

Does sound like a false positive. What were the results of the second test? Was it a combined test?
