Primary HSV 2 outbreak (scared please help)

Hi,

I've recently found out a new partner I was with on the 10th of June had genital herpes. He had no symptoms supposedly and didn't know of the herpes at all. I am also male.

My primary outbreak started as follows:
1. Flu like symptoms: back aches, fatigue, collapsing, dull headache, neck pain, (2 days)

2. Diagnosed tonsilitis both tonsils, herpes 1 outbreak on lip and tongue (cultures confirmed and taken June 13th)

3. On penicillin for 8 days for tonsilis and large mouth ulcers two on back of throat (right) tested neg for herpes.

4. No penis sores at all - post 20 days serve bacterial folliculitis as the doctors described on upper thighs and back of legs (looks like raw red area).

5. Itching on lip and then small blister only one on left of lip, alsways had coldsores on the right since I was 10. Doctors tested this for herpes came back negative apparently it did scab over.

6. It's now July 8th almost a month after and today randomly was hit with flu like symptoms just fatigue - my legs and body feel heavy and ballon feeling in hands. I'm wondering if this is my second outbreak? Nothing was confirmed as of type 2 yet and the bad folliculitis hasn't healed yet on my legs.

My normal partern I'm with performed oral sex on me the same day as the new partner and is experiencing the same symptoms in sequence with me almost exactly.

Will the fatigue always be this bad? For people that are infected. I feel as though I will pass out and a heavy and nauseous feeling that lasted 3-4 days before it was very intense. I hope this fades with time or I can't handle this very well.

Any advice would be appreciated and what do you do to fight the extreme fatigue symptoms on the onset of a breakout.

Thank you

Hope fully your fatigue and other symptoms are related to your cold sores and mouth ulcer problems.  If you have genital outbreaks or blisters you will feel Genital itching and discomfort. Just look into mouth lessions.

For anyone reading this the timeline I posted is very accurate for most primary herpes outbreaks, The 'folliculitis' had no bacteria in it but did have HSV 2 virus which got into the cuts - 60% of men do not show classical or no visual genital signs of herpes 2 because it is so dry.

A herpes serology is very helpful if you think you have the virus and doctors won't test your 'no specific symptoms' and you wish to be responsible and protect future partners. IT SHOULD BE ON EVERY STI SCREENING TEST.

I've realise myself what my herpes breakouts are, just reddened skin with tiny tiny paper like cuts on my thighs and lower but area. which doctors were so sure was folliculitis even after antibiodics didn't work and it spread from touch.
