Questions on diet, tanning, symptoms

What are the best foods to take to help prevent breakouts?  What are the foods to avoid that can make outbreaks more likely to occur?  I'm taking a daily suppressive but would like to know what the smartest things to do are with diet.  Also, if I'm taking Valtrex 1 mg a day how likely is it that the sun or a tanning booth can cause an outbreak or viral shedding? Do all outbreaks itch?  I have a couple pimple like bumps on my neck that dont seem to pop like a pimple.  There is a small one on my back.  How likely is it that they are herpes?  The only two spots that I've ever seen occur are one on my upper lip and another at the top of my pubic area.  Also, maybe on odd looking pimple on my inner thigh a couple months ago. I haven't noticed an outbreak at either of those sites for a 2 or 3 years although they sometimes tingle.  Does tingling mean shedding? One last thing, what are symptoms of having an outbreak in your mouth or throat?  My throat has been sore/red for a couple weeks.  I'm so extremely paranoid and stressed about this whole situation.  I'm positive I've developed anxiety about it.  I think I was exposed by my ex-husband 12 years yrs ago.

some people say lysine rich foods or lysine capsules can help prevent cold sores but I'm not a doctor.

There are no foods to prevent outbreaks. Just eat whatever you eat. Some people have food triggers, but  I don't believe in food triggers - there is no scientific evidence behind it.

Yeah, you sound really anxious about it. No question there.
