Really scared

I had protected sex with a condominium 2 days ago. The next day he tells me he has herpes. He says he is only contagious during an outbreak and that in 30 years he has never infected anyone because he is really careful and knows what to do. Is that true and if not what are the chances I contracted the virus if we wore a condom. There was also some oral sex. How long soni have to wait to know I am in the clear. Please help I am really freaking out

My gynecologist did a std test a few months ago and said I was all clean except for hpv but I don't know if she tested for herpes. I see her on the 9th I will ask her then.

your auto correct just started my morning off right...lol

the risk of contracting genital herpes from a one time protected encounter when no symptoms are present is incredibly low. so low, unless you have symptoms, it's not worth testing from unless you have  a regular partner to protect.

have you ever been tested for herpes before to know your status in general?
