STD on touching vagina outer lip

What are the chances of getting herpes or other STD on touching vagina outer lip(labia majora). I used my two fingers to split open.i did not insert inside . No fingering ,no sex. I dont remember touching my genital or mouth immediately. What are the chances of hand herper or genital and mouth if I touched them.

If your skin on your fingers was intact - no cuts - then there is zero chance. If you didn't get infected on your hands, then no chance of infecting yourself.

Thanks.. I don't have any visible cuts.
Great. I wouldn't worry at all about this. :)
What is this mean, "If you didn't get infected on your hands, then no chance of infecting yourself"
1. Initial break out happens only at infected site?
2. Within how many days initial breakout will happen ?

There is something called herpetic whitlow. That is a herpes infection on your fingers. If you got this - and you have no chance of this if the skin was intact - you could then later infect your genitals and eyes. People can do this, usually in the period before they develop antibodies - up to 12 weeks.

1. Initial break out happens only at infected site?

If you get infected on your fingers, the sore will appear on your fingers. If you get infected genitally, you'll get sores genitally. If you get infected orally, you'll get sores orally. Herpes often appears at the site of infection - maybe at the exact spot on your penis - but can also appear in other spots on your penis, and also on your anus, etc., or anywhere in the area that boxer shorts cover.

You didn't get herpes from this, but typically, sores appear within 2-12 days.
I read one of your reply for a post in 2008, in which you mentioned herpes shed from only from mucous and not from normal skin. Is that still applied?

labia majora had mucous?

I touched only outer vagina skin and I don't think there is a breakout as it might be painfull for her to allow me touching.
And also I didnt see any visible sores. In that case there is no transmission scientifically. Am I understanding right?

Yes, that's still true. The labia majora isn't a mucous membrane.

If she had an outbreak there, which is possible, it would be painful for for her if you were to touch it, or grasp it.

Really, you are fine. If you saw no sores, there is no need to worry at all. Herpetic whitlow is not at all common, and it sounds like you had no risk.
