Hello,

Often when I'm about to have an outbreak I feel a warm sensation on my mons pubis in the area that the blisters will usually appear. Can you tell me if the shedding only occurs from this area (where the blisters will be) or also from the vagina as well.

Thank you. I'm concerned about the following scenario. I had an encounter yesterday. I had my underwear on the whole time. I had my period and a tampon in. The area I can feel the sensation on (top, middle on mons pubis) was covered at all times and there was no contact at all. Told him it was not a good time, but he kept pushing his luck and moving the gusset to the side a little and touching the area to the side of my vaginal opening with his penis. No penetration and no pushing up against the opening. I'm now worried sick he may have contracted due to shedding. I can still feel the warm sensation 26 hours later, but no blisters have appeared. He didn't have a condom on, so as soon as he did this I moved him away and told him no. He did it a couple of times. Can you offer an insight or reassurance?
