Waiting on test reults, need some advice

So about two weeks ago I had a rash in my pubic area. I scratched at it until it bled and some bumps started coming around. I used tinactin on it for about  week and the wounds have blistered over. The doctor told me that it looks like herpes but that it's hard to know because I scratched at it. We ruled out jock itch and ringworm, and I'm really scared right now. From my understanding, these are pretty mild symptoms for herpes but I'm no doctor. Any comments or experiences are appreciated

Hey amatthew view, I am sorry you are experiencing this.  You need an igg type specific blood test.  Your doctor didn't do a swab on the rash with bumps?  Since you did receive unprotected oral it could be hsv-1 genitally.  If you already have hsv-1 orally then it is highly unlikely it is hsv-1 genitally.  You did say she said she was negative for everything but you can't trust anyones word, you can only trust your own test.

If you already have hsv-1 orally then test now since its been 6 months since last sexual exposure.   If you do not have hsv-1 orally then I would wait 3 more months and then test with the type specific igg blood test.  This will tell you if it is herpes and which type it is down below.  Sound good?

Also, I haven't had sex in over six months. I received oral in December but I called her and she says she has never had symptoms and was tested a few months back.
