What are the chances I have herpes?

I have been going back and forth about this and wanted some additional feedback. I have convinced myself time and time again that something must be there because my luck is just not that good. I know that I could easily just go get checked but I have doubts that I have anything. Every time I shave my pubic hair I break out down there. I get bumps filled with pus and hairs sticking out of them. If I don’t shave I get almost nothing down there accept for the occasional ingrown hair that has yet to grow back but I can see them and pluck them out and they are gone practically the next day. There was never any pain except for when I would pluck out the hairs but it was not really pain just the normal discomfort felt whenever you pluck any hair out. Other than that I never have gotten any fluid-filled bumps and never had what would be though of as an outbreak any other time. If I only get any sort of problems with these bumps after shaving, but never get them if I don’t shave, is that herpes or just ingrown hairs?

It sounds like razor burn, or ingrown hairs. Just try to use a sharper razor and don’t go against the hairs.

Just an ingrown hair.I have the same "problem".Your skin is just too sensitive,in my opinion.Usually they disappear after a week(or less) right?

Yes, unless of course I try to pluck them or over irritate my skin but other than that once all my hair grows back I have no problems. The longest one has ever lasted was 2 weeks and that was because it got infected from me trying to pluck it out. Other than that they disappear very quickly
I am not an expert or anything, but seems like just after I shave my pubic hair. The place also feels itchy and a lot of bumps appear, even sometimes bleed, because I scratch them.In my opinion, just be careful with having sex if the pimples are opened , since they might be a good way to get the STD.But overall, I dont think you should worry that much :) If it was herpes, it would appear on its own, not only post-shaving.Hope this helps you
