it's incredibly common where you live. most folks contract hsv1 orally as children even there.
So you're trying to say.. once in a life, each all of us will have this one day?
not sure what else I could tell you. oral herpes is very common. not too unusual to go a long time in between obvious cold sores.
she should continue to see her doctor as needed.
But if it is , she sure got an outbreak for a long time right? This is her first time she said.. My mom is 49 years old. And my late father passed away 16 years ago..
I don't know if it's a blister with fluid or what because I can't really diagnose it. The doctor checked on her. But didn't say anything such as herpes etc..
So I don't think it's really an herpes? Please make me feel more comfortable.. I am worried about my mom because I love her so much..
it's all still oral herpes dear. doesn't matter where the actual blister is. it can be on her lips, nose, chin or anywhere in between.
indeed your mom did kiss others :) she had a life before she had you kids you know!!!
It's the first time she had this.. I am so worried of my mother.
She didn't even go out anywhere and seeing relatives and kiss any relatives as I don't really have much relatives in here. Doctor said it might be a rashes.
And gave my mom a cream to apply on the rash with an oral medicines.
It's located on where the mustache is.. Not on her lips.
I do shared drinks with her because it doesn't occur on her lips.
And I think it is okay. So far I doesn't have any symptoms right now..
All I know is my mom didn't kiss anyone before other than my siblings..
We all doesn't have it. I don't think it's HSV. Maybe is hair infection?
I went to the doctor yesterday and the doctor said it's an infection..
It's only located on her mustache area not inside her mouth..
yes hsv is the abbreviation for herpes simplex virus.
no, you shouldn't be sharing drinks with mom when she is sick. http://www.ashastd.org/std-sti-works/Herpes/oral-herpes.html has terrific info on oral herpes for more reading.
most adults do have hsv1 orally - it's incredibly common. many of us get it before we even enter public school and the rest of us get it over time from kissing others.
Is HSV the same as herpes? I don't want my mom to have that.
I felt guilty. :(
Is it okay if I were to share drinks with her..? Is the HSV come by nature?
Or she got it from someone?
most adults have hsv1 orally. It's very common. we nicknamed them cold sores because it's common for them to show up when sick with colds and the flu.
bottom line is if your mom is concerned, she can be seen.
