What's the risk?

I have hsv2 for 5 years...yesterday my zipper broke on my pants so I had a safety pin. I touched my penis(small fresh outbreak started Saturday, urinated) and went to close the gap where my zipper was with the safety pin prior to washing my hands and touched end of it with my thumb that clearly touched outbreak, on accident I stuck my other thumb with the "contaminated" end and it bled......what's the risk of spreading the active virus to my thumb area for Whitlow?

Hi, once a person has hsv in one part of the body, they are basicly immune to passing it to another so its not an issue for whitlow.

So you don't think the virus would pass from thumb, to needle, to inside my other thumb from a prick? I mean I jabbed it kinds hard and it stuck in my thumb where j had to pull it out (I was in a rush. Someone walked into the restroom)
