Wondering how long it takes for antibodies?

It's been around 10 weeks since I was possibly exposed and I had a test just 2 weeks ago at 8 weeks post exposure. That test came back negative for both hsv1 & 2. I was just wondering how long it took most of you who read these posts and actually have hsv in either form on how long it really took you. My doctor insists that the new tests I've taken would be a clear answer in 4-6 weeks, let you know that's two doctors a gp and a dermatologist very well known in my area. But thanks just curious if the 12-16 weeks is a little too long or just to be safe, just wondering what the real average is for the real people on this site.

In theory its 12 or 13 weeks for conclusive but as mentioned 11.5 with no low positive, i surely would consider this conclusive.

Could I consider it conclusive?

Yes, this is good evidence that you are infact negative. At 11.5 weeks a low positive would have come up if you were infected.

Hello, I just got one more herpesselect test which would be about 11.5 weeks after possible exposure. Is this enough to be conclusive for me? Both test came back <90.

You've asked the same questions before. The answers are the same.

Since the exposure you asked about was zero risk, and your symptoms didn't suggest herpes anyway, you didn't need testing. Because your risk was so low, your doctors are correct about test reliability at 4-6 weeks. (The lower the risk, the more reliable a negative test result.) In my opinion, it would be a waste of money to have any more HSV testing. But if you insist, feel free to spend as much as you want at 12-16 weeks or any other time. But there's really no point in asking about it any further on this forum. Nobody is going to give you any replies different than the ones you have already had. Move on.
