Would I be able to catch herpes from giving protected oral on a man?

I have had these burning sensations around the mouth on and off for around 10 days. No lesions no sores no redness. I’m not sure if I’m imagining them or if these are herpes symptoms. Would I have seen lesions by now if the burning sensation has lasted 10 days. It has been 2 weeks since the oral incident took place. Not sure what to make if it.

It's possible to get oral herpes from giving someone oral, but it's not at all likely.

It's far more likely to be anxiety, an allergic reaction to something you are eating and drinking or the mask you wear (if you are wearing one, and if you aren't, you should be wearing one if you aren't staying at home), etc.

It's especially not likely to be herpes if you gave oral with a condom.

I'd put anxiety or an allergic reaction at the top of the list, and herpes would be way, way down, if it was even on it.

Thank you for the answer. I indeed wear a mask when I am out..which is not often now a days. The burning sensation comes and goes and I’m pretty bad with anxiety so I may just be picking up normal dryness around the mouth and overthinking it. Would lesions appear if I was infected the first time? Especially after 2 weeks of the encounter? I’ve read protected oral is probably a zero chance of catching something like herpes..am I correct in thinking that?
Yes, I would say that's correct. Herpes isn't at all likely to go from the genitals to the mouth even without a condom - hsv2 doesn't like the mouth, and genital hsv1 doesn't recur or shed frequently, so it rarely, if ever, transmits from the genitals - and add in a condom, and I think you could call it zero.

I wouldn't worry about this at all.
Thank you very much for the response. I am guessing my anxiety is probably getting the best of me.
You're welcome. :)

Also, wanted to mention I have never had hsv 1 before. Condom stayed intact and there was no skin to skin contact that I was aware of as condom was on the entire time.
