canyou get reinfected orally with hsv2 whenever you aleady have it genitally

I was with someone and gave her unprotected oral. A week later I got a cold sore and went through the whole primary aches and pains. Now two months later I'm getting ulcerations and sore spots on my fingers too. antivirals aren't helping. Could I be experiencing a superinfection of hsv2? what can I do to knock this ting back into submission.

Sure doesn't sound like herpes whitlow. Whitlow is usually very obvious and painful. It also usually doesn't jump around on the hand. Most outbreaks are in the same spot

The ulceration was so small they were very dismissive about it and told me to stop worrying. She asked. If I wanted to have a scrapping done but I wasn't sure if digging at it was the right approach. No swab taken. Woke up this morning with a new sore spot on my thumb

Did you go to the dr when you had your original outbreak? Herpes whitlow is rare and the blisters are usually extremely painful. I would get any lesions or ulcerations swabbed and pcr tested for hsv
