I have no idea what your clinic hands out dear. www.westoverheights.com is the free handbook on herpes I am referring to. we talk about it in our read before posting post on the forum.

your partner will also need tested to know his status. make sure you are both covering all std's properly.

at least you have results now and can deal with this even if it isn't the best news ever.

have you had a chance to read the handbook yet?

well your partner will also need tested to see what their status is too. You can't make educated decisions about what precautions to take together until you know who has what. also make sure you have both covered the other std's too with testing as well as discuss condom use and birth control too.

if you did nothing but avoid sex anytime you had anything going on genitally, your partner would be 96% likely each year NOT to contract hsv2 from you. If you take daily suppressive therapy and use condoms properly in addition to that, your partner is 99% likely each year not to contract hsv2 from you.

what testing did you have done - lesion culture or blood test?
