hsv 2 positive igm results 1.00

Hello, about 7 years ago, I had skin to skin contact (no intercourse, except for a brief moment when my partner inserted himself about an inch) and not long after that, I began to develop itching and blisters in my mons pubis region that had a yellow fluid fluid that could be squeezed out, followed by a clear fluid, and sometimes bleeding (usually, I only had one blister at a time, rather large, and they occurred in different areas). They did crust some when they healed, but they looked more like ingrown hairs than the herpes pictures I found online. My partner said he was "clean" when I asked him, and as everything went away, I did not worry about it (and I had difficulty getting to a doctor because of transportation and distance). However, a few years ago, I had some itching return and I noticed tiny, flesh colored bumps along my mons pubis that never went away, changed, or multiplied (the itching was more in the area above the bumps where my skin was almost ashen when looked at closely). Long story short, this past February, I asked my doctor about herpes, and hpv, as my boyfriend has it, and was told that my symptoms looked and sounded like folliculitis, the bumps looked like scarring from that to be exact. I gave blood for the tests, and recently I received the news that I tested positive for hsv 2 (pap smear was normal). I checked my lab results at home and saw I was negative for both hsv 1 and 2 with the igm test, but positive for hsv 2 with the igG at a value of 1.00 with the reference of 0-.90 (hsv 1 negative at <0.91).

My question is, can someone please help me understand these results better? In specific, does this indicate that I'm a "low positive," and/or does that mean I have a low risk of spreading herpes? Also, in your opinion, would it be worth it to get retested?

Thank you in advance!

Just confirm that the IgG test result is 1.00 and IgM are all negative?

This is not a positive and most values at this level are false positives. Most people test over 5 if truly infected.

Next step could well be to test in a few weeks and see if there is a clearer negative result.
