hsv1 new infection or old infection

last year in April i went in and took a igg blood test and was told i was positive for hsv1 with a range from 5.6 and negative for hsv2 but never experienced anything for me to think i had any types of herpes. As of recently i thought i was suffering from a yeast infection when i got cultured it came back as hsv1 and the igg was 25.8. could it be the same infection or new one? How frequent would outbreaks be i felt really irritated no bumps, ulcers or anything else.

This is very likely a well established infection. If you had a prior oral infection it would be extremely rare to contract hsv1 in another location.

never had an oral infection. is it a high risk this can be spread to some like hsv2 can be? i read its less frequent
Genital hsv1 is thought to be very rarely spread through intercourse. Ghsv1 has very few outbreaks compared to ghsv2 and sheds so very little. The odds you will spread it to your partners is very slim.
