weird bumps on vaginal lips

Hello, i have been dealing with a uti for a few weeks. I started taking a probiotic vitamin and a cranberry suppliment. Last weekend i noticed my vaginal lips were itching. I put baking soda and teatree oil down there. i thought it was a rash from the uti. I finally when to the dr to get antibiotics. I did have a uti but  The Dr. Told me it looks like herpes. She swabbed it and i am still waiting for results. Could it really been herpes. I have only bwen with 1 person my boyfriend for almost 2 years. My boyfriend didnt see it but he doesnt think its herpes because neither one of us have had bumps on our mouth. He hasnt had anything on his penis. Im so scared i feel my sex life is going to be reuined. What is your opinion could it be herpes

an uti would never cause dead skin to slough off noticeably. If you have skin sloughing off, time to be seen again.

as much as I love tea tree oil, it can be an irritant and you have to be careful using it. At this point I'd stop with everything but the probiotic ( make sure it's one for uti's and vaginitis since not all probiotics are the same. I recommend femdophilis by jarrow for this purpose). Cranberry pills don't really work well for uti's and they can cause your urine to be irritating too.

could either of you have herpes and not know it? yes you can. Both hsv1 and hsv2 can infect the genital area and a lack of symptoms either orally or genitally doesn't mean you weren't infected. If your swab is negative, it's still a good idea for you and your bf both to seek out type specific herpes igg blood tests just to err on the side of caution.

feel better soon!!
