Last month I started having palpitations. Sometimes my pulse was super high. My BP meds weren't working either. They put me on a water pill that has really helped. I sometimes still have the palpitations, but they aren't as bad. I don't know why they happen. I see the cardiologist again next week.
Hello and welcome to MedHelp's forums. Palpitations always worry us. Here is an article about how to judge your palpitations https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/heart_vascular_institute/clinical_services/centers_excellence/womens_cardiovascular_health_center/patient_information/health_topics/when_to_evaluate_heart_palpitations.html. This article gives a run down on when to worry and when to not as often, palpitations happen for very non serious reasons from anxiety to too much caffeine. I, however, was not clear from your post if you have high blood pressure or not. Can you please clarify that? We're glad to hear you are working with your doctor as that is the best resource for help in this matter.
