I have a dilated ascending Aorta due to high blood pressure.

My blood pressure has been high for years even when taking medication. It does fluctuate and at times the pressure is normal.

Hello and welcome to MedHelp's forums. Thanks for the question!  We're sorry to hear that high blood pressure has created the situation with your aorta.  Is your doctor taking action? Is surgery being recommended? https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1861150/

Let us know how you are doing.  Best of health to you.

I too have an intra-renal aneurism on my aorta ...
My blood pressure is well-controlled with Amlodipine and Lisinopril but I'm wondering to what extent sex increases blood pressure.
I'm thinkin' any increase in blood pressure could hasten a rupture of the aneurism.
Should I give up sex?
Again, a good question. Definitely ask your doctor.  But you all need surgery, no?
