yes, absolutely. the systolic or top number is very high. Normal bp is 120/80.
If the top number (systolic) is above 130 and/or if the bottom number (diastolic) is above 80, it is considered high. Some doctors will wait for the top number to be 140ish before beginning treatment. A lot depends on your individual physical condition as well as a patient's risk factors.
