This is when there is blood vessel damage which those with overlapping diabetes are at even greater risk for. There is also choroidopathy which is fluid buildup under the retina. And optic neuropathy which is nerve damage. There are also secondary vision issues that can arise from things like stroke, for example, which those with high blood pressure are at greater risk of.
