Am I still an HPV carrier after no sexual activity (NONE) for 8 years 10 months?

I am a male and have been diagnosed with HPV in 2007.  2010 approximately, maybe 2011 I had not produced any genital warts around my male body part.  I had not been sexually active for 8+ years, because I wanted to become a priest.  I am hoping that the HPV has left my system because I want to be married.  Women in Church hate the issue, and I do not care to spread the virus to theses great people who have never encountered any trouble. Although I really want children, and decided to become a patrol officer because of this fact.  Otherwise, becoming a priest would be better in this case.

If you have not had any outbreaks in 8 years, it is highly unlikely that you would pass anything to anyone. Your body may have completely eradicated whatever remained of the virus or at least "locked" it away forever.....much like what our bodies do to chicken pox. I advise you to check out forums on medhelp and articles by Dr. Hunter Handsfield on hpv. Very knowledgeable. Remember, the vast majority of us have had hpv at some point. I would not stress too much. As far as your career decision........good luck either way.

Your input is much appreciated, and I understand completely.  Ill make my partner aware regardless, because its important.  She will also get vaccinated.  Being religous, I will only use intercourse to produce the love of a child, so that would lessen a potential risk.  Thank you for your time, and have an excellent 2018.  May God bless you, and your family this year.
