Anal to oral transmission of HPV?

I am a gay male who recently met up with another man for sex. He asked me to rim him (lick his anus), but as I was doing so I noticed what appeared to be anal warts. He didn't seem to know he had them and seemed surprised when I brought it up. We had more sex (he was the penetrative partner, with condom), but now I am wondering whether there could be a chance of my having contracted HPV from his anus, assuming they were indeed anal warts? Thanks a lot.

Yes. It is possible. Active genital warts made him more infectious than not. The condom he used didn't protect you too. It doesn't cover the base of the penis.  You can't be tested for it so all you can do is to keep inspecting yourself (mouth, anus) for genital warts. Realize that you probably have been exposed to it earlier if you have had multiple partners.
