1. Condoms provide 50% protection at best. They don't cover the base of the penis or thighs, scrotum, buttocks, etc.
2. Most people wait 3-12-24 months. Its not one size fits all. Wait at least 3 months after you are sure the warts did not return. Some wait 6 months. Some wait a year. There just isn't a clear amount of time that fits everyone. More importantly, get healthy during the time off. East healthy. Cut out booze and cigs. Exercise often. Meditate. Get more rest. Take vitamins and supplements that are meant to boost immune system. Reduce stress in your life. So yes, you can have sex again with someone but realize that you may get another strain or not. Or you may become infectious again or not. Most people remain not infectious after a year of no warts.
