HPV + Barrett

Hi, sorry about my english. It´s not my first language. I am suffering of a huge anxiety. I am 37 years old, heterosexual and single. I´ve only have one longterm relationship that didn´t work. No one-night stands and just one kiss with a girlfriend several years before. One night, in a party I drunk too much and ended up having sex with a female friend without protection. The biggest mistake I've ever made (Actually, the only one!). She performed me a brief oral sex and then kiss me after I penetrated her and she touched me with her fingers near my anus without my permission and after the sex while I was sleeping. Since then I've been terrible sick. First, I suspected I contracted chlamydia and I was given some medication by my doctor (He didn't perform any test) . My symptoms didn´t clear up completely so I don´t know if I still have it. I've took several HIV test too but not at the three-month mark. A month later she confessed she have HPV. She said she didn´t know before but it was detected in a routine test. She ended up having cin1 toward cin2 and being treated. So High risk HPV, probably 16, 18 types. I went to my doctor (He is an oncologist) I was screened and I was diagnosed with Barrett's Esophagus, a pre-cancer injury with no cure just some treatments (It's serious). Then I was diagnosed with a little thyroid tumor. I am under treatment for the esophagus's thing now. But, I fear my inmune system can´t fight the HPV infection because of that.

I have a few questions. I heard about vaccines are useless after infection but in some research I read they can prevent recurrences and strengthen your inmune system anyway. Can I be vaccinated? What would be the benefits? I always heard that the inmune system clears up  the hpv infection after 2 years but I read a lot stories about recurrences in women. How that works in men? If I go into surgery for the esophagus thing. How it will compromise my inmune system and my ability to fight the virus? I took doxicycline 100 mg twice a day for ten days. Will it be enough to kill any infection like chlamydia or gonohrrea even if I had had it not only on my genitals but on my anus or my mouth? Thank you very much for your time. I feel like I've shot in my head and I would not have realized I'm dead. Thank you for your time.

Vaccines can only prevent infections of strains that you do not already have. The vaccine is only effective for people under age 26. There has not been any proof it helps older people.

A healthy immune system can clear (make it dormant) the virus for 90% of the infected. HPV never leaves the body (for men and for women). Should your immune system get low due to illness, then the virus can activate and I suggest you do not have sex until you recovery your health. Since men cannot be tested, you won't know if you are infectious or not. And the high risk strains do not have any symptoms.

After the surgery, lead a very healthy life.  Exercise more, no cigs, less booze, more rest and more sleep, less stress, take vitamins, eat healthy, meditate, etc. A strong body and mind can reduce the chance of cancer or getting warts.
