HPV VACCINATION FOR MEN.-

Hi. Five years ago I had anal warts they cleared after 15 days of treatment never knew what subtype it was. In August 2013, I thought I had some kind of relapse cause I found one or two smalls pimples/warts/etc I don't know and I didn't get the chance to go to the dermatologist since that "something" dissapeared quickly in a week even though my anal region was itching me a little. I am 31 years old, could I still benefit from GARDASIL?. Or I am just wating my money?. Vaccine is kind of expensive I don't want to develop anal cancer since I am sexually active with my partner.

The impacts of the vaccine at your age is reduced. There is no documented study of the impacts after aged 26.  But 31 is pretty close to 26. The vaccine only protects you from strains you don't already have, not the strains you may have had.

A proctologist can check inside your anus.

I will talk with the dermatologist next week I'll ask him to check my anus and for vaccination. Which specialist checks the inner side of the anus to look for internal warts?.
