Hpv warts

I was diagnosed with genital warts yesterday. The DR said they were small and few.  She thought tca would be a good treatment.  She is not recommending I come back unless they are still present in three weeks.  This seems to be a much different course of action than all I've been reading. Any thoughts on this?

Everything I've read says you should be treated once a week for three or 4 weeks. If there are still warts then the DR would try a different treatment.  Good luck.  This is a very tricky illnesses . I had been tested for stds and have had a normal pap.  I've been in the same relationship almost 2 years and we have both been faithful.  I'm just praying that my boyfriend doesn't get them and we can work our way through this together.

That is similar to what my dermatologist said.  She treated the warts with cryotherapy and said come back in three or four weeks if the warts return or if I notice new ones.  That kind of makes sense -- if there are no warts to be treated, why go back?
