LEEP Procedure? HSIL?

I will be having a LEEP Procedure on Aug 25th & I have a few questions about my circumstances...

My Colposcpy results read:

"The slide shows portions of the cervical transformation zone mucosa with high grade squamous intraepithial lesion.  There is proliferation of atypical parabasel cells which focally involve the full thickness of the epithelium.  These cells show nuclear enlargement, nuclear hyperchromasia, increased nuclear to cytoplasmic ratios and loss of nuclear polarity.  Increased mitotic activity is also seen.  There is also evidence of endocervical glandular extension."

I  was also diagnosed with PCOS & "high risk" HPV. My last Pap before this June was in Feb of '07 and it came back atypical cells non determined significance & my doctor told me there was a good chance it would clear on its own, and now I have HSIL.  I am curious to find out more information about the specifics of my condition & how serious it is or can become. Will this LEEP potentially fix these issues?

If you can clarify any of this I would very much appreciate it. I want to be able to have children sometime in the near future and all these issues are in my way of that.

Thank you for the feedback, I have been doing tons of research online & the LEEP itself doesn't seem so bad.. except the needle! Ouch. It's the risk of abnormal cells coming back that really worries me.

My pap in Feb '07 came back ACSUS (I just couldn't remember the term my doctor used) Within a little over a year it changed into HSIL.

I know that some types of HPV can turn into cancer faster than others. Within the past few months I have had an issue with frequent urination and I am hoping the two issues are not related. Will the LEEP diagnose whether or not it is cancer, or would they see that from the Colposcpy?

i never felt a thing when my cervix was numbed!nada!i don't think frequent urination and HPV r related..i didn't xperience that.colposcopys determine cancerous state...it is usually said its pre-cancerous meaning left alone it could develop in2 cancer!
